Where do you get the cartridges from?
As part of our green office initiatives, Tonertech offers free empty toner cartridge pickup and recycling to local businesses in Burnaby, Vancouver, Richmond, New Westminster, Port Moody, Westham Island, Delta, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, and the surrounding areas. We use these cartridges for our line of Locally Remanufactured Toner, which we then offer back to our community at up to a 60% savings over OEM toner–thus continuing the cycle of local sustainability. A win-win-win! We also purchase recycled cartridges from other toner recycling initiatives. Our goal is to keep empty cartridges out of landfills and put them back into circulation.

How is remanufactured toner made?
In order to fit your printer or copier, manufactured toner uses the same cartridge shells as an OEM cartridge, so they look almost identical. The original cartridge is disassembled, cleaned, and tested for quality. This is to ensure that we're not distributing broken or dysfunctional cartridges back into circulation. If there are any worn or damaged internal components such as the toner hopper and waste bin, they are replaced. The cartridge is then reassembled and refilled with ink or toner. Our toner comes from a variety of manufacturers, many of who service the OEM toner brands themselves. We vigorously test our remanufactured toner for quality and assurance.
Will I get the same page yield as an OEM cartridge?
Yes, our remanufactured toner cartridges will print the same number of pages a brand name cartridge since the quantity of ink is the same. Cartridges are filled to the factory recommended ink levels to match the manufacturer’s quoted page yield.
Are remanufactured toner cartridges easy to install?
Our remanufactured toner cartridges use the same exterior housing as OEM toner, so installation will be identical to what you're used to. For all intensive purposes, it'll be like installing an OEM toner cartridge, other than the box it came in.
Do your remanufactured toner cartridges track toner levels?
Yes, most of our remanufactured toner cartridges (depending on the capabilities of the printer) will accurately track ink and toner levels so you know when to replace your cartridge. Speak to one of our specialists about your particular printer or copier to determine its capabilities.
Will using remanufactured toner void my printer’s warranty?
No, a printer warranty cannot be voided if you choose to use a remanufactured or compatible printer cartridge. You are allowed to use third-party cartridges in your machine without penalty by the original manufacturer.

That's okay! Some companies prefer to use OEM cartridges, or their printer or copier model is so new that remanufactured toner is not available for it.
